Well done to the HALT team members who recently attended and completed their ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) course in Kyneton on the 22nd and 23rd of April. ASIST is a two-day workshop related to suicide first aid. The course helps prepare participants to have difficult conversations related to asking and talking about suicide, seeing warning signs and be able to intervene if someone is experiencing suicidal ideation. This training was supported by the Macedon Ranges Place-based Suicide Prevention Trial site, funded by NWMPHN.
HALT is committed to ensuring all team members are equipped with ASIST and Safetalk training.
