UPDATE: Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are rescheduling the HALT Walk to later in the year when things return to normal.

The HALT Community Wellbeing Walk is a 6-day fundraising walk from Monday the 30th of March to Saturday the 4th of April 2020, incorporating 160km of the Goldfields track from Mt Buninyong (just outside of Ballarat) to Bendigo. This walk is a major fundraiser event for HALT and we are aiming to raise $10,000. Registrations are now open, with a registration fee of $200.

Starting from Mt Buninyong, we’ll walk through old Goldfields towns including Ballarat, Creswick, Daylesford, Fryerstown and finish at Harcourt. Across the 5 nights, our intrepid HALT walkers will be billeted in houses to ensure we are well-rested for the following day’s walk. The HALT walkers will be required to carry a medium-sized pack with sufficient water, fruit, nuts and first aid kit for each day’s walk, but there will also be a support vehicle close by at all times and lunch will be provided.

Where will all the money that is raised go?

HALT is all about grassroots community connection, so that’s where the money will go:

  1. HALT events and speaking presentations
  2. safeTALK training (3-4 hours)

(These two options will be offered to the towns we are hiking through or near.)

We would love to have you come along with us on HALT’s 2nd Community Wellbeing Walk!
